Purpose of Role

As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you are responsible for delivering regional sales targets, managing day-to-day field execution, and supporting the development and performance of your regional team. You play a vital role in translating Shop2Shop’s national sales strategy into tangible, local outcomes — focusing on revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and team enablement.

You will partner closely with the Channel Lead: Field Sales to shape and execute sales plans, provide performance insights, and feed back local market intelligence that supports strategic decision-making.

Required to reside either in Limpopo or Mpumalanga

What you’ll do

  • Regional Sales Execution & Growth
    • Execute national sales strategy at a regional level, ensuring alignment with company goals
    • Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition and retention of existing customers
    • Expand market footprint and increase customer penetration in key areas
    • Monitor lead follow-up and conversion by Sales Managers and their teams
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesalers, distributors and Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by conducting weekly in trade visits for customer relationships.
  • Strategy Execution & Regional Planning
    • Collaborate with the Channel Lead: Field Sales on regional strategies, forecasts, and initiatives
    • Lead the roll-out and execution of national campaigns and pilot programmes within the region
    • Provide real-time input from the field to inform adjustments to strategy, product positioning, and processes
  • Data, Reporting & Market Insight
    • Monitor sales performance dashboards and data to inform coaching, planning, and decision-making
    • Identify regional trends and risks early, and propose action plans
    • Deliver clear, structured reporting on team performance, customer feedback, and market conditions
    • Establish a feedback loop to share both positive outcomes and operational challenges with senior leadership
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Engage with internal stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Ops, and Finance to ensure alignment and support
    • Collaborate on compliance, data protection, and policy implementation initiatives in your region
    • Support customer experience efforts by ensuring consistent follow-up, service quality, and issue resolution

What you’ll need to make a success…

  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or a related field preferred
    • 3-5 years in sales leadership, with experience managing team leads or first-line managers
    • Proven track record of hitting sales targets and building strong regional teams
    • Strong exposure to field operations, regional strategy execution, and customer engagement
  • Industry Knowledge
    • Deep understanding of our industry in South Africa.
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, pricing dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills
    • Proficient in sales systems (CRM, Booqa, BI tools)
    • Strong ability to interpret sales data and operational performance metrics
    • Comfortable driving team accountability using dashboards and KPIs
  • Leadership
    • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and people management skills
    • Skilled in performance conversations and accountability structures
    • Strong operational planning, time management, and prioritisation ability
