What you’ll do…
Turn Data into Valuable Insight
- Analyse financial and operational data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models to power planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Support business case development with scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
- Deliver insights that shape long-term financial strategy and operational improvements.
Own Reporting, Drive Automation
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting with sharp, data-driven analysis.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards that make financial performance clear and actionable.
- Automate reporting processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and free up time for high-value work.
- Ensure reporting outputs are aligned with evolving business needs and stakeholder expectations
Data Integrity & Governance
- Safeguard the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data across systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define data standards and streamline data flows.
- Help integrate finance tools with analytics platforms to enable seamless reporting.
- Be a voice for data quality in everything you do.}
Collaborate Across Teams & Projects
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Product, and Analytics teams to align financial insights.
- Play a key role in Group Investment projects, providing analytical support and tracking performance
- Get involved in ad hoc projects that challenge your thinking and broaden your experience.
- Act as the connector between finance and analytics — translating complex data into actionable insights for commercial decision-making.
What you’ll need to make a success…
Qualifications and Experience
- CA(SA) qualification (newly qualified preferred)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance role with strong analytical and reporting responsibilities
- Strong grounding in financial reporting, management accounting, and financial analysis
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience in financial modelling and business case development (advantageous)
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of fintech and retail sectors
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making in fast-paced, scaling environments
- Knowledge of group structures and intercompany reporting (advantageous)
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills (including PivotTables, Power Query, VBA or similar)
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting platforms
- Ability to analyse financial and operational data to generate insights
- Experience with automation tools and process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, or SAS (advantageous)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders
- Collaborative approach with the ability to challenge constructively
- Proactive engagement in business case discussions and investment decisions
